Apple launches close-up photography competition for the first time

Apple has announced the launch of a Macro Photography competition to encourage users to take great photos with the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max lenses.

If you own an iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max, you can enter and participate in the competition through the hashtag #ShotoniPhone and #iPhonemacrochallenge on Twitter, Weibo and Instagram in the description or the “caption” of the photo when it is published.

If you don’t want to publish the photo on social media – because you don’t like it, you don’t have accounts, you’re afraid of it being stolen and you’re afraid of copyright infringement, for example – you can email it to shotoniphone@apple.com. As for the terms of the competition, you can join as long as you are over 18 and you can send and share photos directly by taking them directly from the camera app or after editing them with the default photo app or any other photo editing apps. Submissions are open from January 25 to February 16, 2022. Winners will be notified on or around April 12, 2022. When submissions close, a panel of expert judges will review photos from around the world and select 10 winning photos. The winning photos will be published on the official Apple Newsroom website, Instagram, and more. The company also said that the winning images will be used by Apple in the company’s advertising campaigns for the company such as the App Store, display ads and billboards. Close-up photography is one of the new features in the iPhone 13 Pro camera.
